Doctor of Humane Letters
(L.H.D. or D.H.L.)

Awarded to individuals whose exemplary service to humanity, philanthropy, community development, or social justice has created a lasting and meaningful impact on society.

Doctor of Laws
(LL.D.)

Conferred upon distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to law, governance, public service, public policy, or the advancement of human rights.

Doctor of Letters
(Litt.D. or D.Litt.)

Awarded to authors, poets, journalists, educators, scholars, and individuals whose work has significantly enriched literature, communication, or the humanities.

Doctor of Science
(Sc.D. or D.Sc.)

Recognizes distinguished achievement in scientific research, technological innovation, medicine, healthcare, or scientific advancement benefiting humanity.

Doctor of Divinity
(D.D.)

Presented to clergy, theologians, pastors, and religious leaders who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to ministry, spiritual leadership, biblical scholarship, and advancing the Kingdom of God.

Doctor of Fine Arts
(D.F.A. or D.Chr.F.A.)

Bestowed upon accomplished actors, artists, musicians, composers, museum directors, choreographers, praise dancers, and creative professionals whose artistic excellence has inspired others.

Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.)

Awarded to business executives, entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry leaders who have demonstrated excellence in business leadership, organizational development, and economic impact.

Doctor of Music
(Mus.D. or D.Mus.)

Honors composers, conductors, vocalists, musicians, worship leaders, producers, and recording artists for outstanding musical achievement and influence.

Doctor of Public Service / Administration
(D.P.S. or D.P.A.)

Recognizes individuals distinguished through exceptional public service, civic leadership, governmental administration, nonprofit leadership, or service to their communities and society.

Doctor of Education
(Ed.D. or Chr.Ed.D.)

Acknowledges significant contributions to educational leadership, instructional excellence, curriculum development, educational policy, Christian education, and lifelong learning.

Doctor of Technology
(D.Tech.)

Awarded to innovators, engineers, technologists, and digital pioneers whose work has significantly advanced technology and its application for society.

Doctor of the University
(D.Univ.)

Presented for extraordinary service to Next Dimension University or for distinguished achievement in a significant field of human endeavor. This honor is also reserved for the Office of the Chancellor.

Doctor of Ministry
(D.Min.)

Conferred upon candidates who have successfully completed the University’s doctoral-level ministry curriculum, including approximately 60 doctoral units and an approved dissertation demonstrating advanced ministerial scholarship.

Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Education
(Ph.D.R.E.)

The University’s highest academic degree in Religious Education, awarded to scholars who successfully complete 60 doctoral units, required research projects, and all University academic requirements.

Doctor of Philosophy
(Ph.D.)

The University’s premier research doctorate, awarded to scholars who successfully complete an advanced project-driven doctoral program demonstrating excellence in academic research, leadership, and scholarship.

Doctor of Theology
(Th.D.)

An honorary doctorate recognizing distinguished, accomplished, and high-profile individuals whose lives of service and leadership have spanned approximately 25–40 years. Recipients establish a Legacy Scholarship in their name to help sponsor future Next Dimension University students experiencing financial hardship, creating a lasting “Pay It Forward” legacy.

Doctor of Sacred Music
(D.S.M.)

A specialized doctorate honoring gospel artists, worship leaders, musicians, songwriters, choir directors, and praise and worship leaders whose ministry through music has profoundly impacted the Church and the Kingdom of God.
